It's Been 20 Years?
Time always has a way of surprising us, and today, we're going to look at songs that have somehow passed the 20-year mark. Plenty of songs from the early 2000s remain dear to us, as they played repeatedly on the radio while we drove, whenever we went to parties, or simply as we shopped in malls. You probably listened to these hits so many times, you still treat them as if they released just five years ago! Here are five songs you won't believe are already over 20 years old.
1) “Hey Ya!” — OutKast (2003)
Thanks to its repetitive lyrics and tune, "Hey Ya!" by Outkast could play on the radio today, and you'd jam out to it as if no time at all had passed. It's the perfect upbeat dance number after all! But in reality, this endlessly replayable hit came out way back in 2003, so yes, it is now over 20 years old.
2) “Crazy in Love” — Beyoncé feat. Jay-Z (2003)
An iconic track fans still listen to, "Crazy in Love" helped define the sound of early-2000s pop and R&B in a way we don't see today. Released all the way back in 2003, Beyoncé had everyone dancing and working out to this hit single that still feels suitable to play at any party to this day. She isn't called Queen B for nothing!
3) “In Da Club” — 50 Cent (2003)
This rap anthem became immediately recognizable within seconds of the first beat back in 2003, but honestly, the same goes today. It dominated radio play 20 years ago, but we're sure no one would complain if they heard it being played again. 50 Cent seriously knew what he was doing when he created this head-bopper.

4) “Yeah!” — Usher feat. Lil Jon & Ludacris (2004)
It was impossible to go to a party in 2004 without this song by Usher playing at least three times. In fact, we'd argue party and "Yeah!" went hand-in-hand back in the day! Even now, the chorus is still widely known and remembered, and we're certain everyone would be able to sing along no problem.
5) “Mr. Brightside” — The Killers (2003)
Released in 2003, making this song officially 23 years old, "Mr. Brightside" has shown unusual staying power across generations of listeners. It remains a dependable choice for karaoke and car rides to this day, and no one will ever complain if you put it on.
